Work Project - Miss Penguin

 
Hello there! Well, I am now finally on vacations... for Christmas! Which is just around the corner. Today I want to share with you a small part of the beginning of a new project. It is just an experimental phase, I have always wanted to make or illustrate books for children. I used to have some of them, and I can't recall the amount of hours I spent looking at the beautiful drawings, and reading the stories again and again. 

So now that I will have some time (yay!) I will work on these little characters. Which is a new adventure for me. So here we go, these are some of the doodles I did today, to start up a bit. I will keep posting updates of the work and playing a bit around with these new characters!

Remi & I

 

Hi there! Well, from a long time ago I've wanted to make a portrait of Remi and I, so I started doodling and ended up with this :) I guess Remi's portrait went better, I have to admit that It took me a good time to get the color combo for his fur! It's been a long time since I didn't draw something on an actual canvas. I consider that making a drawing on canvas is like.. when you are more than sure about it. So I made several drawings on my sketchbook before:) I really hope you like them! Have a nice week! xo, Monica

Music lovers

Hey there! Well, I just made some little drawings of girls with t-shirts of bands I love, Guns n' Roses.. I just adore Axl Rose and Slash, the bad part is that they aren't together anymore, and Axl changed a lot since the separation happened, anyways their music is just amazing! I think their best song is November rain (: Then, well.. The Rolling Stones!! I love them more than I love food. Their style, and their songs.. I just can't choose a favorite one. Nirvana.. at first I have to say I love the name, it means a way of thinking, relaxed, without worries, something like Hakuna Matata :D hahah, the music is GREAT! I just love Kurt's voice. AC DC, well, this was sort of the first rock band I liked, their music is more than good. (and I mean it:) The Beatles, well.. I can't describe them with words! I am a huge fan of them, sometimes a bit obsessive, but it is all because I love them! Which is your favorite band? 

It's been a long time, but now I am getting more homework.. and I try to get "quality over quantity" So, thanks for stoping by! I've missed you. Have a nice day! xoxo.

Some little drawings!

Hi! Well, today I made some little drawings of dresses and some stuff for this spring! ^^

I really hope you had a lovely and happy winter! It is kinda my favorite season (after spring) I mean, flowers and little animals appear again, everything gets its colors and everybody is cheerful again! Oh, I almost forget! Yesterday it was a bit more interesting that other days, we had an earthquake! Fortunately no one was dead and there were just a few damages. Hope to see you tomorrow! xo

What you can do with 2 markers

Hi lovely people!!

This day started sad for me, I realized my little plant died... poor Simon. But well, I arrived home after school and discovered this two markers my dad found yesterday! So, I got sort of crazy and take all the things in my room that seemed a bit boring I got these ones

My first little victim was my television's remote control! I know that almost anybody has a television, so this is a great way to give a small twist to your remote control.

My second victim was a small hair iron... I really love the result! This is why you should 

just loose the fear to decorating, it is a wonderful way to leave a piece of you over something.

Victim #3... This is my sister's recorder, I hope she doesn't mind the new look of her musical 

instrument.

Okay... my toothbrush, I always looked at him and well I just thought it was too green. 

My little painting palette was cute, but too white! Now it seems really happy.

This is one of the small lip balms I used to sell, as it was never sold, I decided to decorate it 

as I wanted.

How to make kawaii drawings...

I know that almost everybody knows about the cute kawaii drawings... so I am going to teach you how to place all the parts of the drawing so that it looks cute!

These are some tips for making your drawings style kawaii:

When you add the eyes in the same line of the mouth, (in any kind of drawing) it definitely makes the face look even more cute.

Try it! there is a huge variety of expressions for your kawaii drawings.

If you made a drawing and you are not... you know, shure about it, this is the perfect way to give a little refresh to your old drawings & reuse them! It also works with any kind of photo, just add the little faces to the objects and enjoy! 

This is a great alternative to make simple drawings beautiful!
