DIY floral sweater

Hi there!
Today I wanted to show you a small idea I got yesterday, what could I do with that old and a boring grey sweater? Well, I did something like this...
Well, for this lovely custom sweater you need:
- Felt
- Scissors
- Spool & thread

First check the size of your sweater's button and cut a square that is almost the same size. With that one make a small flower (circle, rectangle, rose, triangle, or heart) and cut a small part in the middle of it. Sew your felt flower and try if the button fits inside the hole. After that you are done! I think this is really simple, but it is a great way to give a small twist to an old sweater. If you want to frequently change the small felt pieces, just skip the part of sewing and secure your felt flower at the end. I really hope you like this DIY project! (: I will post some fashion posts later (one of my new year's resolutions ^^) Oh, and don't worry if you couldn't make the flowers the size you needed them at the first time. (that happened to me too!) Keep your flowers! I made another DIY for the ones you didn't used!! :D
Happy crafting!

Homemade Strawberry jam

Hello!
Today in the morning I didn't know what to eat... my sister said that some toasted bread and jam would bee great, and well, I agreed with her! The only problem was that we didn't know a small thing about making jam. Like always... we called our grammy!
At the end we got this:
It is something super easy! (:
And you just need 3 ingredients!!
Happy day! (:

PS I am working on the ad spaces, I will finish with them tomorrow...♥

DIY Waterfall Braid (video)

Hey there!
Time ago I made a small tutorial for waterfall braids.
A lovely reader asked for a video tutorial! So, here it is. (:

I hope you enjoy it! (:
With so much love, Monica.

DIY: last-minute place card holders

For the upcoming dates to celebrate, I guess you are the one who organizes or helps. (:
I do that too, so I know that details matter. For avoiding any kind of problem, a good idea is to assign places to the guests. Wouldn't you feel welcome if you knew that someone had chosen and personalized your place? Well, I would.
This is a really simple and cute DIY, you will need no more than some paperclips and spray paint.
1. Take your supplies and place them over a place you don't mind painting 2. Paint all the clips and let them dry for 10 minutes 3. Make some cute tags and place them on your clips. 4. ENJOY! (:
This is something really useful and customizable. (I wish I had a gold spray paint!) You can use these ones for prizes on your shop, or for displaying almost anything!
Happy crafting,
Love, Monica

DIY: Snowball glitter nail polish

Something I love to do is to paint my nails... so I am always looking around for cute nail polish colors. Yesterday I saw a white snowball nail polish. But it was about $5 USD  so I thought it was sort of expensive for a nail polish. Then I decided to buy one that was transparent for $2... and this is how it ended after some little arrangements.
(my sister)
Well, I really think this is something easy and that will look cute in everybody so I decided to share it with you.
You just need:
- 3 (or more) drops of white nail polish
- Glitter (three different sizes)
- A clear nail polish

Well, now this is what you have to do:

1. First you should add some white nail polish to your clear one until you get the color you like. 2. Take some glitter (I recommend of 3 different sizes so it looks even prettier) and with a pice of paper pour it inside the nail polish. 3. Enjoy your new and homemade nail polish!
This is something really affordable and easy to do. You can always make other colors, like gold or pink!
This nail polish is perfect to use for this christmas or for the winter. It is also a simple but a lovely gift for a friend. (:

I wish you a happy happy christmas and a great new year!
1000 hugs, Monica

DIY: Potato stamps

It has been a time since I wanted to make this project. I guess that most of you too. I definitely love stamps but here in Mexico they don't sell carving products, so I had to find an alternative. POTATOES!
They are not are easy to card, but they work!

For this stamps you will need:
This is a great way to personalize your wrapping paper for this christmas! I recommend you to keep the potato stamps at the fridge so that they last for more. You can also use it for making patterns. Not just on wrapping paper, but in your ribbons!
Okay, now I have a new obsession...
Hope you like it!!

DIY Santa's cookies plate & glass

My sister and I love to leave cookies and milk for Santa... I know, you might be thinking that I wrote coockies wrong, but that mistake has a long story. When my sister was really small she adored cookies, and she always wrote that word like that. So it is a small memory, that will stay in that plate (:

For this small idea you need:
- 1 plate
- 1 glass
- 1 ceramic marker

Just take your plate and start decorating it the way you like! For decorating the glass I recommend to grab it from the inside so that you have a better control of it. The best thing you can do while decorating anything is listening to calm music and having fun! You can always do this with your family. It is also a great idea for christmas presents!

Happy day!
xo. Monica

PS Thank you so much for all the lovely people who pins from the first lime!! (I'm so impressed!)
