Remi Wallpaper and a little raffle!

Hi there everyone!
Well, it will be really soon my favorite time of the year, Christmas! So, I though it would be fun to do some Santa Remi wallpapers.

Also, I want to make a quick "Santa-pet" drawing raffle. Leave a comment below, and on next Friday there will be two names selected randomly. I will make an illustration of the winner's pets with a christmas hat so that they can have them as wallpapers too! The drawing above is of my best friend's cat. (just as an example :) Have a great day!

DIY Upcycled Pet Bed

Hello there! It's DIY time!, (again, finally)
So today, I want to share with you a little idea I had to make little Remi a bed or pillow, so he can feel comfortable all day, and rest. (something that he mostly does all the time, besides playing and yawning) I decided to use some old pants we had, they didn't fit us anymore, and the fabric is just perfect for a small dog bed. So this is how you can do one for your own pet:
What you'll need:
- Some old pants (you can use more or less pants depending on the size of your dog)
- Stuffing (also depends on the size of the bed)
- Fabric scissors
- Sewing machine, or needle and thread.

Steps:
1. Extend the legs of the pants and align them.
2.  Cut both legs at the same height, and turn them over.
3. Put together the two ends of the fabric, (making the sizes match if they were bell bottom pants as mine)
4. Sew one of the sides completely.
5. You should get a long piece, like the one in the photo, turn it over again.
6. - 7.  Sew half of the fabric you have in that end, in the way the stitches are correct if you turn it the right side.
8. Sew the other part (here it is impossible to cover the stitches) and leave a space to stuff the pillow.
9.  Stuff your pillow/bed until you are happy with its shape.
10. Finally, use your needle and thread to sew the last part of the bed.

And there you go! You have a great upcycled bed for your little buddy.
I decided to add the name of little Remi to his bed.
My sister wanted it as a pillow, I guess it is another good use for it! If you like it it can also work as some sort of pillow (like those they sell for trips or for the airplanes!) In the end we gave it to Remi, at first he was a bit reluctant to go inside, but then he had a great time playing and getting used to his new bed/pillow!
So that's it, I really hope you like this idea, and do it for your pets!
Have an awesome day, lots of love. Monica

Remi & I

Hi there! Well, from a long time ago I've wanted to make a portrait of Remi and I, so I started doodling and ended up with this :) I guess Remi's portrait went better, I have to admit that It took me a good time to get the color combo for his fur! It's been a long time since I didn't draw something on an actual canvas. I consider that making a drawing on canvas is like.. when you are more than sure about it. So I made several drawings on my sketchbook before:) I really hope you like them! Have a nice week! xo, Monica

Happy Birthday Remi!

Hi there!
I am really happy to announce that today is Remi's very first birthday!!
Well, this is a bit of his story...
(some pictures of Remi the same day we bought him)
It was a Saturday, just another one, that weekend we decided to go to Linguine restaurant. In the morning of that day we had talked about "Mechas" (another little pom who died 4 years ago) We remembered how lovely moments we shared with him... he was with us when my little sister came to the world. We said that we would love to have another one like him, but we hadn't found it. When we arrived to the restaurant, we had to wait for some time, so as a pet shop was just in front of it, my dad said, "I am going to buy a little Pomeranian" Of course, he was kiting. But guess what? At the moment we were entering the pet shop, the first little and lovely thing was a baby, yes, a baby Pomeranian. My sister and I begged my dad to buy that little treasure. He said that the little dog looked very handsome and healthy, so my mother, sister, and I got very excited... (maybe he would buy it!!) So we had our food... and during we were in the restaurant, we started to look for some names, Clifford, Drake, Finn, after some minutes we came out with Remi, you know, just because of the Pixar's movie: Ratatouille. The little chef, Remi!
We went out of the restaurant really happy, bought our little Remi and enjoyed up to this day! (and the ones that are coming)

During this year Remi has...
lost his fear to the stairs
make more than 100 funny faces
found lots of weird ways to sleep
and to wake up

It has been a very productive year for Remi... now you just have to go and wish him a happy birthday!
xoxo. Monica
