5 tips for new Etsy sellers

Hi there!
I hope you all survived to the christmas dinner chaos! (hopefully I did)

Today I wanted to talk to you about something I know you love... HANDMADE.
And if we are talking about handmade we should talk about "the best place to buy all things vintage handmade and supplies" ETSY.
Well, when it comes about Etsy you must know that buying and finding some awesome things is great! But... what about if you want to sell some of your work? Well... time ago I started an Etsy shop and I hope I knew some of these tips I am going to share with you.

1. Take great pictures
This is a basic thing you can do. And probably one of the most important! Imagine you see something... but it is not clear or the light isn't enough. You won't have a great idea of how the item of the picture looks in real life. Sharp and good lighten pictures are the perfect ones for adding to your listings. *you can read a bit more about photography here and here*

2. Make good descriptions
I have to admit I am still working on making better descriptions for my listings. But some things you have to keep in mind is to fully describe what you are selling.
Make to yourself these questions:

Which size is it?
Do I have it in other colors?
How much does it weights?
Which materials is it made of?

After doing this you can have a better description that will answer possible customer's questions.

3. Taging
At the beginning this might seem not very important. But... it is. This tags will help customers reach your listings! For choosing my tags I first think, what would I write on the search box for reechoing this item?
After that you can choose easily the perfect tags for your items.

4. Shop and brand style
This is something you have to keep in mind if you want customers to remember your shop. This can be developed by the backgrounds of the pictures or the way you present them. These are some lovely shops that have a great style.

5. Be punctual and do what you say
Well, if you are going to sell anything you would need to write carefully your policies and fulfill all what you say. Also try to send as fast as possible your items. This will make buyers happy, and leave you a positive feedback. A good idea for that is to send the receipt and a small letter thanking the purchase and asking them for leaving a feedback. It could be something like this... "Did you liked our service? Let us know! You can leave feedback on daisy smoothie.etsy.com"

I hope this works for you! (:

5 tips for bloggers to enjoy each post!

Hi adorable people!
Today I answered a reader's question.... "I wanted to ask you - since your blog is so successful! - do you have any tips for me in regards to getting the most out of my blogging experience? "

Well, I have 5 tips for Improving your experience while bloggin!

1. Have fun! If you don't do that... anything is being pleasing as a writer!
2. Share a bit of yourself to the readers! Let them know more about you! (:
3. Post about great things! If not, nobody would read your blog. Try to blog about things you enjoy doing or that you like.
4. The most asked question... What can I blog about?
Well, that is up to you! I recommend to blog about the things you love!
A great way for getting organized, is to give a topic by day.. you know, DIY monday
Treats Tuesday, Wedding Wednesday, Thrift Thursday, Fab Finds Friday...

5. Finally, blogging, from my point of view. Is a way to connect or to know new people
from all over the world! Try to encourage your readers to comment! But comment also
in other blogs! (:
Making friends is easy! Normally all the people is really kind! (;

I hope this helps!

Blogging lessons: II.

Hi!
Today I read a message of a friend of mine... Sam, the lovely girl behind Rose Vintage & Threadesque... I just love her, she is an amazing person.

Well, I know that all of you have seen some cute blogs that when you click on a picture they take you somewhere else. This is actually a great way to attract people to your other pages!
This is something really simple, you just need this code:

<a href="THE LINK"><img src="YOUR IMAGE'S URL" /></a>
When you type it it looks like this:

Just copy the URL you want it to appear when the picture have a click and in the other side, just add the image's URL. A good place for getting the URL of an image is TinyPic.

This is a simple image HTML code:

<img src="http://i43.tinypic.com/23r4j1w.jpg" />
And when you type it it looks like this:

It's something pretty simple and useful!
Happy blogging!

Blogging lessons: I.

Hi lovelies!
Today I want to teach you a bit about the navbar of blogger:
The blue one is the default of almost all the blogger's themes. Sometime it fits with the colors of our blog's design, but if not this could be an ugly detail of our blog. Personally, I don't like to hide the navbar because you can search words and tags of the blog with it. If you want to keep the navbar and make it look cute, just follow these simple steps:

- Design | Navbar & then you can choose one of this styles:
And done!
I know this is really basic and simple, but I remember that when I made my first blog this little detail was really annoying.
