DIY: Potato stamps

It has been a time since I wanted to make this project. I guess that most of you too. I definitely love stamps but here in Mexico they don't sell carving products, so I had to find an alternative. POTATOES!
They are not are easy to card, but they work!

For this stamps you will need:
This is a great way to personalize your wrapping paper for this christmas! I recommend you to keep the potato stamps at the fridge so that they last for more. You can also use it for making patterns. Not just on wrapping paper, but in your ribbons!
Okay, now I have a new obsession...
Hope you like it!!
Love, Monica

  4. That is a super fun idea! I love doing fun art projects like this. :)
Once I took an apple and cut it in half, and then used it as a stamp. It looked really cool because you would get the shape of the apple, a little stem and a little hole where the seeds were. It was super cute!

  7. Haven't done potato cuts in years - but those have really worked well. Would not have thought of doing it for wrapping paper either.

thanks for the ideas - will try to remember to do it for next year.

Happy christmas to one and all - and a prosperous, successful 2012 too.
